IntelliSearch experience a good market response to its Enterprise Search platform in Scandinavia. The company experienced 242% growth in 2006, while the total enterprise search market is expected to 30% annually until 2010, according to the research company IDC. IntelliSearch experience shows that large enterprises are now initiating Enterprise Search projects and this accentuates the need for further international presence. The company enters its next phase of internationalisation with the establishment of a sales and delivery office in the US.
The US subsidiary will be led by Mr. David Chartier. Mr Chartier is a an American national and a former board member of IntelliSearch. The US branch will have IntelliSearch Inc. as business name. Mr. Chartier has long experience with IT-upstarts and enterprise sales to Fortune 500 and government agencies. Prior to joining IntelliSearch David Chartier was a Chairman of the Board of Maxware AS which was sold to SAP AG in may 2007.
The US branch will be fully operational with sales and technical resources from June 1, 2007. The company has recruited Mark Chartier as sales executive. Mark Chartier is a 44 year old American national with 10 years of enterprise sales experience. Mark joins the company from a position as sales director in Wind River Inc. Mark has a solid background with a 5 year track record of sales above quota. The company has also recruited John Kane as Search Evangelist. John has more than 20 years of IT-industry experience. Mr. Kane has held a number of development position at Microsoft Corporation. Mr. Kane’s area of expertize is search technology and he is a well-known speaker on the subject.
With this expansion, IntelliSearch will have sales offices in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and US. Other geographies will be served by our international partners and the Norway office. The company headquarters is at Lysaker, Norway.
