The search platform enables a central information access to portals, personnel information, collaboration rooms and document management systems. The platform is integrated with the systems SharePoint, Meridio, MS Exchange and file servers. Bouvet, the consultancy company, is the system integrator.
The customer's project leader, Vidar Holmane, has the following comments about the project: "We needed a new work tool to simplify and improve our ways of working. The chosen solution was a new intranet portal embedded with advanced search. Search and reuse of information is very important in an organisation with the size of the Norwegian Post. IntelliSearch ENTERPRISE gives us access to information across organisational units, across collaboration rooms, and across systems. The project is already financially breaking even through consolidation of old systems, and we see a large potential in a more productive workplace for our employees. After one day of operations, 7.700 employees have used the solution and we have had 250.000 information access requests. Early response from the users varies between ‘good’ and ‘very good’. Another good indicator is the support desk, which has had little traffic" concludes Mr. Holmane.
