Norwegian Rail standardizes on IntelliSearchWith the search platform from IntelliSearch, Norwegian Rail will have one central information access point on both its external website nsb.no as well as on its intranet.
External website nsb.no. IntelliSearch SITE will be used by Norwegian Rail's 30.000 daily website visitors looking for traffic and travel information. Visitors will be offered both keyword search and advanced search such as relevance and natural language.
On the Norwegian Rail intranet. IntelliSearch ENTERPRISE will be used to make information accessible from a number of systems such as file, email, CRM, Coretrek and Contiki, in addition to the document management systems DocuLive and ProArc. The intention is to offer all employees easy access to information, whether it is technical drawings, case documents, company briefs or correspondence in the form of letters and emails.
IntelliSearch scores high on functionality, technology and price"The individual employee in Norwegian Rail has challenges with information retrieval. Information is located in a number of systems – both new and old. We want all our intranet users to easily find information from one central access – from the intranet", says Norwegian Rail's IT-adviser Ms Pia Solheim. "The same applies to visitors at nsb.no. Norwegian Rail chose IntelliSearch as their search platform includes all the functionality we wanted, combined with the ease of integration into Norwegian Rail's IT-infrastructure. Price and the possibility to influence future development of the search platform, was also part of the decision" concludes Ms Solheim.
